Another New Chapter...

Well, one of the only things we are guaranteed is that things will change. I've had many previous chapters and now I'm starting another new one. In a sense, I'm returning to my professional beginning.

In October of 1989, Kelly J's was created. I began by teaching sewing classes through community education in Duluth, Minnesota. Those classes expanded into "in-home sewing parties" and private lessons. Then, when I was approached by New Home Janome, I became a sewing machine dealer and opened my first brick & mortar retail store. Almost 40 years later, I'm restarting my education-focus; teaching classes, workshops and supporting independent shop owners. I've always enjoyed this part of the sewing/quilting/embroidery industry the most. I'm happy to return to my roots and I'm really happy that you're here with me. Please join me in one or more of the classes or workshops I've created. You're certain to have fun and I'm confident that you'll learn at least one new thing!
