As the owner of Kelly J’s Sewing Center & Quilt Shop, a well-loved retail, brick-and-mortar business, I bring over

35 years of experience to this industry.

My Vision

Create With Kelly J offers a variety of sewing, quilting, garment & technique classes. In addition, my workshops, and lectures cater to all skill levels. My goal is to provide a nurturing environment for individuals who wish to explore and enhance their sewing abilities. I believe in fostering creativity, building confidence, and connecting with fellow sewing enthusiasts. Your journey into the world of sewing starts here, where every stitch tells a story.

I came to the sewing & quilting world through teaching, recognizing the power of fun, educational classes and workshops. I am available to teach in retail shops, at guild meetings, for private parties, one-on-one and have schedule classes available to anyone.

You can join any of my classes in a variety of ways - hopefully, one of these methods will work for you:

1. You can host a class in your home, with your club or guild

2. You can schedule a private class/lesson, just for you.

3. Many of my classes & workshops are offered at the Susan Kalman Community Center in Colorado City, CO.

They will begin in May 2026

4. You may also be able to sign up for a Create With Kelly J class at your local sewing and quilting shop. Ask your favorite shop if they work with me or have them reach out.

workshops, and trunk shows.
